When I Don’t Feel God’s Love

life challenges that cannot separate us from God’s love, even though it might feel like they have. Some in Paul’s list might seem familiar if you have been in a relationship with a narcissist:

The Apostle Paul lists life challenges that cannot separate us from God’s love, even though it might feel like they have. Some in Paul’s list might seem familiar if you have been in a relationship with a narcissist:

Not trouble

Not hard times

Not hatred

Not hunger

Not homelessness

Not bullying threats

Not backstabbing

Not even the worst sins listed in Scripture….

Nothing

Nothing living or dead

Angelic or demonic

Today or tomorrow

High or low

Thinkable or unthinkable

Absolutely nothing can get between us and God’s love because of the way that Jesus our Master has embraced us.

Romans 8:35-39 MSG

When mental and emotional confusion clouds experiencing God’s love, come to Him and acknowledge what you are feeling. Ask for His Holy Spirit to quiet your mind and heart. Ask that He help you trust His promises and experience His love by faith.

With time (and sooner than you think) you will no longer need to experience God’s love by faith. It will have become a reality in your life!

Father, when I’m distracted by my circumstances and You seem so very far away, remind me of Paul’s words that nothing is able to separate me from Your love. Provide the willingness to walk by faith and to trust that You will bring me to once again feel Your peace, Your presence, and Your love. Because of Your Son’s sacrifice I pray. Amen
